I've been mixing and doing gigs since the early 1980s, starting during my early teen years using mixmatched turntables (a Sony and a Sanyo, one belt and the other direct drive). LOL. I bought my Technics 1200s back in Canarsie High School. While at Baruch College, after studying marketing, sales, accounting & finance by day, I concurrently taught myself how to beat mix disco, dance music, freestyle & house music by night. In 1987, during my senior year of college, I landed the much coveted position of resident DJ at one of Long Island's hottest nightclubs, called Jamz (also know as Fokkus and The Dorm), in West Hempstead, where 1200 18-23 year olds danced all night long. I then began DJ'ing regularly in clubs from NYC to Long Island until 1996 (when my daughter was born), mixing two-three nights a week till 4am classic disco, freestyle, funk, old-skool hip hop and house music. My other main clubs were the L.I. Exchange and Polyesters. I did shorter stints at Coco's, Buttles, Zachary's, Metro 700, Uncle Sam's and Cafe Society.
I love mixing classics, old school, house, funk and remixed classics!!!
