Ive used Technics sl1210 turntables up until recently, but I'm now using Vestax PMC 270A Mixer CDJ 800's i still use Technics turntables but mainly for converting vinyl to mp3...... I've been looking at different software& midi controllers recently with a view to buying in the future although i haven't decided which one to go for yet..

Darren started DJ'ing in 1988 at a local pub, but in1989 after a visit to the hacienda his music taste changed for ever…“
The DJ'S that night were none other than Graeme Park & Mike Pickering, "the atmosphere in there on that night was like nothing I'd ever experienced & I’d never heard a DJ mixing before and i was blown away by what they were doing with the records and i decided there & then i wanted to learn how to mix, so I saved up and got my first set of decks in late 1990"...

"I'd never seen anything like it before the place was just a heaving mass of bodies the Hacienda was unique & its atmosphere was unrivaled by any other club in the country Graeme & Mike were playing music in a way I'd never heard before they were mixing the records together i was completely mesmerized i was blown away by what they were doing with the records & how they made it sound i instantly knew i had to learn how to do this, I had to learn to mix records, so I saved up and got my first set of decks in late 1990.”..
“My first live performance was in January 1992“ for a mates birthday party in his living room..lol

Since then Darren has been DJ'ing and clubbing for more than twenty years & has played at various venues, including, but not limited to...

Vibealite -- @ The Street, Skegness
& many other clubs & private parties in the north west of England. He also gained valuable experience as resident DJ promoting his own nights with a few friends and fellow DJ's in the late 90’s / early 2000’s

Got your response Darren and I know how you feel. Some of us have managed to accumulate a lot of friends but don't listen to their music. For the past few weeks I have been on a campaign to listen to uploads from all of my friends. It takes a while but it's worth it because of all the new music that's out there but more importantly we need to network with each other to show appreciation for each other's talent. Cheers Darren; Seems like you are well traveled and well known. I am sure I can learn a few things from you. I am currently going through some serious changes when it comes to spinning music and I'm having more fun than I did 15 or 20 years ago. What was your biggest challenge moving from records to CDs to work your craft? I'm going to be listening to your good works as soon as I can. Congratulations on your return.
