I have been djing professionally for about 4 years (and a bedroom dj for about 3 before that) after losing only by 1 point at the National Dj Competition at Po Na Na in Brighton and also conquering other competitions in 2006.
I soon became a resident at clubs such as Bognor's Mud club for nights Reform and Mud Therapy where along with Mud Club's main man Harvey Bailey, I played deep and jackin house and tech house, playing alongside legends such as: Terry Francis, Inland Knights, Phil Weeks, Nathan Coles, Lottie, Tom Middleton and Femi B. At the same time, I became resident at Brighton's Ocean Rooms where eventually I started moving toward a tougher Tech House/Techno sound, playing for nights such as Suicide Saloon and Our Friends Electric. It was at these nights where I played alongside Techno greats: Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty, and Layo and Bushwacka as well as headlining the Carl Cox after party, being noted as the only dj that actually played a full Techno set..and this includes Carl Cox himself. I also started a Sunday residency at Honey Club's Honey Bar playing again a more Jackin House style.
I also became a resident for Inside Out at Al Duomo, playing a deep techno and tech house sound alongside the likes of Rocky and Eddie Richards and have since played at pretty much all the Brighton clubs including playing for Londons 'Wiggle' alongside Fabric's Terry Francis at Concorde 2.
Last year i formed Beatsworkin along with Chris Eaton and George Buko and we have started our own deep and tribal/tech house nights at the infamous OM in Brighton as well as playing regulary at venues such as The Mud Club. I have played almost every club in Brighton and 2010 as Beatsworkin and also as reformed REFORM: Harvey Bailey, Andy Moore, Mark Allister, Jake Dillingham, James Britton and George Buko. There are some great plans for 2010 inluding boat parties on Thames and in Brighton and nights in Southampton, Ministry of Sound London and beyond.
Last year I also started to play weekly for radio station upfrontdance.net playing a 3 hr tue night slot with Alex Dempster, George Buko and guests. This year me and Alex will return and we will have special monthly guest on our show: LIZ EDWARDS (Swag/Kerfuffle)
I have recently started producing as Beatsworkin with Chris Eaton and have signed up to Masterplan Records and hopefully soon to Rob Pearson's Evasive Records. So watch this space.
