Seeing as this is the one year anniversary of the Home with House podcast and the last episode of the year, I thought I would take this chance to look back and reflect on the last 12 months. So I've gone and taken one or two tracks from every episode, some of my favourites from this past year, and mixed them together as a deep and grooving reflection - a sort of review of the Home with House podcast for 2008.

Normally I like to ensure every episode of this podcast has all new and fresh tracks. But I felt this chance to go back and pick out some of my favourite tunes and mix them in a new fashion was a fitting way to end off the year. I liked doing it so much that I think I'll do the same thing again at the end of next year to give a review of this podcast for 2009. Last month's mix had a deep and contemplative theme, which acted as my farewell to my old home. This month's Home with House episode is the exact opposite. This mix has an uplifting, upbeat and happy theme which mirrors my current mood and excitement for my new home. It's full of funky, progressive and vocal tracks with a cheerful vibe. I had a lot of fun putting this one together and it ended up being another 2 hour long mix. So I hope you enjoy episode 12, it's called "Golden".

This month's Home with House episode is another attempt at reflecting my current moods. I'll be moving in a few weeks, so this is my last podcast mix created from my current location.

I've created this mix as a sort of farewell to the place where I started the Home with House podcast back in 2007. The environment and atmosphere of where a DJ mixes often have an impact on the mood, track selection and overall feel of the resulting mix. So in that sense I am sad to be leaving the place where the podcast began. But at the same time I am very excited to experience my new destination and mixing location.

You'll notice that this mix starts off deep and contemplative, and continuously builds in anticipation as I get excited about moving to my new place. It begins on a deeper note, but ends with a bang. I'm also delighted to be mixing a remix of an Orbital track with this episode. Orbital has been a long time favourite of mine, but this is the first time I've mixed one of their tracks with this podcast. Episode 11 is called "Deeper Groovez".

Well it's been almost 2 months since the last Home with House podcast episode was released. The previous one was posted at the start of August and this one is only coming out at the end of September. I will try harder to ensure subsequent episodes are only 3-6 weeks apart.
