Biography
Josh Dupree started as a DJ in 2000 with two diskmans and two radios, performing at parties for friends. He went on doing this till the end of 2004 when he got the change to dj at Rose’s Lounge, where he for the first time touched a vinyl record and with a whole lot of practise, he got a residency at Rose’s Lounge. From that moment on he could be found there weekly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This mend a lot practise and experience with a rather large audience. Josh also got to perform on other parties such as Club Rose’s and Sparklin’, where big Dutch dj’s as Laidback Luke and Olav Basoski showed there skills as well.
Over the years his style slowly changed from the mainstream lounge and house from labels such as Hed Kandi and Defected, to the more modern sounds, blending deephouse, acid jazz and funky house sounds with a dash of electro. Josh now is highly influenced by Ohm Records with artist such as Mark Farina and DJ Sneak.
For two and a half years now as a resident at Rose’s Lounge, Josh took the next step and he joined 51agency. This should be an opportunity for him to spread his music to an even wider audience, spinning his records at big parties such as Electrolize.
