If you've lost your love for Disco House, this mix should re-kindle that fire! A mix I made a few years back. The sound quality does bite, but the mixes are pretty tight. Sort of reminicent of the lo-fi disco days. So enjoy... Comments are appreciated! =)

This is my first LIVE SET on The VORTEX radio show in Seattle on C89.5fm. Played for about 7,000 people live on a radio station ran out of a high school classroom!!!

My buddy Check 6 hooked me up with this gig with radio DJ Drew Bailey. I had an incredible time working with these gentlemen.

This was the FIRST TIME in 5 years that I had actually Programmed and Practiced a set before I played it, and it came out better than I could have imagined!

Belive it! or not... this CD ACTUALLY got me and a car full of people a free ride in a taxi cab in GERMANY!!! the driver liked it SO MUCH, that by the time we got to our destination, and I told him he could keep the CD...he goes "Oh, you give me CD? Your ride, FREE!"

Belive it or not, I took the intro sample from a FLASH GORDON record and mixed it into a Caffine track! I almost couldn't belive how well the build up came together myself!!

Its the beginning of Summer in 2002 and Ive just moved to Portland...After spinning on a pair of beaten up Numarks for a few months, I scrounge up every last penny I have, and buy a pair of Technic M3Ds which have JUST gone on sale...

I come home from work the next day, take the turntables out of the box, set them up, plug the mixer into my computer, and hit record....the rest....is history....my legacy.....FUNKY EPIC

No programming, no practice, no do overs. Just a couple of tall cans of PBR, and a little bit of magic...one shot, one kill...

I survived as a starving artist in Portland by selling this CD as "Crack"...A clever little sceme I came up with one night I was at the Cool School Lounge...

I would walk up to people and say hey wanna buy some crack?..."no"...Cummon, its really good crack!..."Of Course I don't wanna buy any crack!"...That's when I would pull FUNKY EPIC out of my pocket and say...BUT THIS IS BETTER THAN DRUGS, BECAUSE THIS GETS YOU HIGH OVER and OVER AGAIN...AND ITS ONLY $2...

The CD flew out of my hands like butta, and to this day, people STILL come up to me and tell me that FUNKY EPIC is in their CD players RIGHT NOW!!
