I grew up in sleepy south norwood in London in the 70's and 80's, and I feel in love with soul disco and funk listening to DJ's like Greg Edwards (Capital Radio), Chris Hill, Froggy, Pete Tong (Purley South Croydon), Tim Westwood (in my breakdancing / BMX years) Zak, Ron Tom , CJ Carlos, Jasper the vinyl Junkie, Jazzy M (on LWR 92.5 the best radio station ever!) (also it was Jazzy M "mick" who introduced me to house music from his "MI PRICE" record shop in croydon in 1986) I started dj'ing in the mid eightys, started off just before house music kicked in around 1985 with a famous south London soundsystem "FunkTronic", so i played soul, funk, hip hop, reggae, and electro music to begin with, learning how to play and entertain a crowd, and the groove and soulfulness of these early years stayed with me ever since, no matter what genre of music i played. I dj'ed at many differents clubs, party's (here's a small selectionof my favs) starting with The Studio (Streatham) Tifannys (Wimbledon) (1986-1987) The orange peel (1988 rhyl), HooRay Henry's (1988-1989 Wolverhampton) Spectrum (1991) Birmingham) Club UK (Wandsworth London) Future and The limelight (Kavos Corfu 1993) Abandon in coventry (bliss 2003) (therapy 2003) where we had some great guests such as john kelly,Graeme Park, Jim "shaft" Ryan, Jazzy M, Robert owens, atfc, copyright, defected twisted elegence's opening party (deansgate manchester) plus various early raves around london, The Orange Peel (Rhyl 1988) I co-ran Fantasy FM Pirate Station (midlands) (1990 -1993) Plus more importantly i also enjoyed.........................
