A very different take on the country classic :-)

This is my first attempt at making a remix from the ground up, and not just rearranging or editing the original. Everything is programmed from scratch.

By: catvega - Date: 23 Nov 2009 3:23 AM

the composition is spot on, from ground up this remix is very very good quality. synth sounds a lil outdated i thought and i dont think i would spin it. thats the only things i could say about it other than that very nice job!

By: Josh Mace - Date: 19 Nov 2009 3:12 AM

Quality mate. Good backing tune aswell. Nice 1,,haha

By: DJ Mello-G - Date: 06 Nov 2009 10:30 PM

By: Dj Globe - Date: 02 Nov 2009 8:31 AM

By: Dj Mike D - Date: 01 Nov 2009 11:34 PM

Awesome remix Rampus! I'm not really a fan of Dolly Parton but this has certainly turned things around. Love the effects. A+ sir!

By: highglow - Date: 01 Nov 2009 10:45 PM

Cool remix, This Will Get Into One Or More Of My Mixes... :-)

By: DJ Scratch - Date: 01 Nov 2009 7:45 PM

Played this as my first track on the show babes...there was mixed reaction...but all agreed it was a quality production and certainly original...:-)) xxxx

By: Dj Nikki Flame - Date: 01 Nov 2009 5:17 PM

I secretly liked the original and that tempted me to listen to this mix. This is a superb ground up remix just how Dolly Parton should sound in 2009. This should be a club smash. Not sure about the am’s at the beginning but the underlying funky beat is excellent. Good use of the hook of the tune in the rhythm. It has enough of the original to make it huge. It has the foot tapping and a singalong style that would also work well on the radio. Well done – I loved it.

Rampus my man, from scratch to this track, compliments to the chef!! i had to give it a spin and add ya me comment, going at the title i was about to click it away but that's not fair. you did a great job m8 on this. respect for you!! i tried it a hundred times before to 'make' a track, but i'm better in mixin then producing, maybe i need a better program ;p i hear the work in this and once more, big respect! peace Jeffrey

By: djf-jeffrey - Date: 29 Oct 2009 7:55 PM

got It!! well total respect as this must have taken some thinking and lol some bravery. Dam hate CUNTry music lol. u got talents i dnt have though so much respect buddy. would love to hear ur work on rhiannon, fleetwood macs track?

By: DJ 101 - Date: 29 Oct 2009 12:31 PM

ice tune - however i feel it would be far more effective as an instrumental

By: Darragh O Brien - Date: 29 Oct 2009 9:30 AM

admittedly, could only listen thru 1" monitor crap speakers. Will have a better listen at home. Well, this idea started as a lil joke didnt it Rampus....who would have thought he would go ahead with it. What can i say? i expected the worse by title and artist.....done a bloody great job mate. Forget mixing mate, concentrate on remixing & production as thats where your at. Not saying your mixing skills aint good....theyre great too, but cant beat originality of creating remixes like this. just thinking what you could do with more loveable tracks, modern tracks etc. Respect Bjarne, U Da Man

By: DJPLEASURE - Date: 28 Oct 2009 8:36 PM

I have to say Rampus...I was nervous about the title, didn't know what to expect - except something well put together coz it's you we're talking about)then in comes the funky house beat and I'm in, gripped...shivers from the great melody...this is got me hooked and I'm in...melody and vocals match perfectly...:-) toe tapping, I'm sold...you must do more production I'm thinking how about a Fleetwood mac tune??? Tusk would be awesome remixed..anyway back to Jolene...OMG!!! Awesome babes...can i play it on my show??? royalty free...;-) Loved it I have to listen again...xxx

By: Devine Dj - Date: 26 Oct 2009 9:13 PM

Sounds very professional. the beat is very crisp and good en-riching melody but where is the bass (a insane bassline would complete very nicely)

By: squashi - Date: 26 Oct 2009 9:07 PM

Great job!

By: erik a - Date: 26 Oct 2009 8:11 PM
