The relaxed, laid back start is held together with a solid tech house backbone while light melody works over the top to keep things feeling warm and light. Quivver’s Surin takes a classic progressive route, very melancholy and deep, whilst Matt Rowan’s perky little tech house tune brings the mix into new territory.

I wanted this mix to keep the listener interested and yet blend some genres of tech, electro and house, whilst pushing the mix along with a constant groove in the basslines. Track 6 in particular I think will keep everyone entertained not only because of its clever arrangement but because as soon as it drops (after a clever wind) –you’d be bouncing like loonies on the dance floor and not be able to help it!

On that note I wanted to continue the groove and bounce and really drive the mix on into a new modern funk that contains all the elements and sounds I love to here throughout a night into 15mins before moving on.

As clever as you can be with mixing and blending sounds, I’ve tried to make each mix exciting before delivering a completely different bassline.

In stark contrast to the last CD this mix flows much more. As the title suggests it’s a deeper excursion into house. Perhaps more rewarding in terms of making sense, this mix concertrates on telling a story from start to finish.

There are repeat tracks from Feb’s mix but here they will stand the test of time better, which is what I wanted to achieve, a mix that will sound good in a year or two from now. Believe it or not, I have been working and selecting tunes for this Cd since last November. So whether or not that’s apparent when listening, its true!

This is a CD for listening to without strictly having any particular dance floor in mind, although when you turn it up and immerse yourself in tunes like Far East Band - The Call Up feat Suzie Klee (Martin Buttrich Rework), Francois Dubois - I Try (Scope Remix), Kos - Zero To Hero (Original Mix) or King Unique - Yohkoh (Luke Dzierzek Remix) you’ll probably be more than happy dancing amidst the dry ice near a large speaker. “It’s up to you, up to you, up to you, not to hate the call up!

The essential ingredient for me in this mix was using tunes that don’t try too hard, they are kind of laid back in their message, but do exactly what they say on the tin nevertheless.

I enjoyed making this cd, if only because I wanted to give Mark something that he can’t get a hold of in the shops! It starts how it ends; calmly and peacefully. Enjoy!
