This may be familiar to some. BeFunkRadio recently played both of the sets I'd created from this series of sessions I recorded a while back. I must admit, I enjoyed putting these together and it just like felt something special was happening. In each set there was that element coming through with each track simply going incredibly well to complement each other in their respective sections.
Keeping to definite themes for each section, to make them distinct and linked, was planned from the start, perhaps that had much to do with it. Knowing that I knew almost by instinct which tunes would be those to play and compile into each set.
Now they've aired, and I'd thought about this, returning to the sessions had to be something I'd do. It would be easier to issue the sets as they stand, as you'd hear them on BeFunkRadio. Some will tell you, that is not me when the chance to look at things afresh arises. All the original tracks become contenders for inclusion. (More often than not, original sets were longer, as here.) Off I went, and this is the result. One complete set, moving from one section to the other. Some tracks have changed. Most are the same as on BeFunkRadio.
I must thank Leopoldo for the opportunity to play my sets. Had it not been for him.....
