What happens when you have 2 pairs of twins in the same immediate family? The rivalry increases? Divisions and arguments erupt without warning? Double double trouble? it begins when they're quite young. The level of cheekiness is higher, and a lot funnier too. That increases when the next pair begin to move around and chatter to each other.
I don't think we ever got as far as having any deep, lasting problems. It's something amongst the kids (ours and those staying with us at different times) that's unwritten in their own book of rules. They enjoy their time together more while they're having fun. Squabbles only get in the way.
Bring in decks and a mixer. Let twins loose on those. Another pair (elders) made this - Karen and Stephen. (Born either side of midnight and real Rock Heads usually.)
NOTE - Dad is still out of action, but not for too much longer.
