JUNGLE!  Those chopped up Amen breakbeats, deep dirty bass lines, sub-bass that makes your walls shake, raggamuffin vocal samples, crazy chatter and lyrics, film samples galore ("Ricky" anyone?)  and sometimes haunting or just plain euphoric chords and pianos. Who can deny that Jungle was the defining music genre of urban youth in the 1990s.  Every major jungle DJ got in on the production act - Mickey Finn, Hype, Ray Keith, Kenny Ken, Bukem, Goldie, Remarc, Krome & Time, Crystl, Marvellous Cain, Randall, Andy C, the list goes on and on.  Even Slipmatt (not really known for being a jungle DJ) produced the heavy bass loaded "Breakin' Free".  This show was mostly about the old skool classics, but I had to throw a few recent remixes in (Serial Killaz being a major playa, but Bladerunner can't be ignored, and High Contrast always delivers when he re-works an anthem, making it even more "anthemic")  As you will tell from the show, the chatroom were on fire and it was a shame I had to call it a night after 2 and a half hours.
