Had to dust off some records I haven't played in a very long time for this mix. Also had to clean up the mix a bit afterward to fix a couple of needle skips which made mixing interesting but I'm sure that's excusable :)
This is the stuff I was in to back when I first started mixing as a teenager. Most of these records are ones I bought back then. By the time I was old enough to get club gigs, the music scene had moved on to 1990 so I never played much of this anywhere other than house parties at friend's places, but I have fond memories of these tracks all the same. I hope some of you do also.
And for those of you too young to remember this music or those who simply weren't in to house back then, consider this a history lesson. A glimpse in to the days when House music was just beginning to emerge on the mainstream dance scene that it's influenced ever since. Enjoy!
