Daniel (or "Dan C" for short, as he goes by on his releases) is an underground talent from Edinburgh who thoroughly quashes the age old saying of  "Jack of all trades, master of none" by successfully sprinkling his unique flavour on a number of genres within the House realm. With influences such as Marco V (Tech House, Progressive Tech), Koen Groeneveld (Techno, Tech House), 00's Laidback Luke (Electro), Jordy Dazz (Electro Tech), Hed Kandi (Pre-2006 House, Funky House) Daniel's unique sound carries a Tech feel throughout.

Daniel's Funky House/house being the exception to the tech rule of course, which is a familiar throw back to the early/mid 00s, lending its ear comfortably to the Taste, Luvley and Joey D split jacket era. Daniel's Funky House is lathered in a Pre-2006 Hed Kandi polish along with his straight-up House mixes that have more bounce than a kangaroo on a space hopper.

Going against the tech grain by stepping out of his comfort zone and uploading a one-off Commercial Mix  in 2010, at the request of family and friends, lead to high demand for more and more. Daniel now puts out a monthly Commercial Mix which has its own large family of followers who eagerly await each and every upload.

Don't let Daniel's dabbling in multi genres put you off. Daniel's undeniable strength and main forte lies in Progressive House, or "Progressive 'Tech' House" as he likes to have his enthusiastic voice over announce (who sounds uncannily like the Simpson’s Troy McClure). It is gritty, energetic and unpredictably raw. Daniel's, simply named, "Progressive House" sets wouldn't sound out of place had they been ripped directly from a night in Eden.

Alongside his gritty Progressive 'Tech' House Daniel occasionally releases BIG ROOM Progressive sessions with an energetic sound that is easily recognisable by its constant drive and uplifting tech driven, progressive house melodies akin to the sound you would expect from a weekend at tomrrowlands.

His homepage at house-mixes.com is a self-contained plethora of house combined with a smack in the face of tech as only Daniel does best. You'd be doing yourself an injustice not to take a bite of this severely underrated underground talent.

PM me some of the tracks and will see what I can do. A lot of the tracks are unobtainable now :( The Eros "mixes" (if you can call them that) I made 10 years ago before I could DJ using CD burners.
