My very first mix,its not great,its the first time ive tryed djing. Please comment i need to know if bad or not.ive got a set in November so im trying to prep as its my first so i want it to be ok. Any tips will be good.

yeah i know mayte when ya doing a set bring in a song as the first one bring another song in to drop with the second drop let them play at the same time then spin out with the first track and mix the second drop of the second song with another song and keep doing that where as in this one you are only mixing the end of a song for a few seconds and its basicly just a cd so if u mix a good length of the song its better yu need to calculate the drops aswell then they will fit make sure the bpm maches up to so the beats are in place. hope that helps mayte (Y) and using the flanger kinda kills the feel to it mayte so i wouldnt bother using that but when editing the music itself you can use the key nob which will edit the pich of the song u can play with that and practise also id practise with the crossfader aswell ull need to be good with that to change which deck your going to be droping so yeahh hope it helps.

no disrespect but i wouldnt do that set if i was you bruv! get some djing lessons n mabey next nov you'll be ready for a live set. every dnb tune is set in loops of 32 beats. so say the 1st beat on a record is a drum, 2nd is the high hat and so on. play 1 of your records and when it starts count the beats, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and so on. tap your foot have a lil bounce to the beat helps sometimes. k say that tunes playing on the left deck through speakers, listen to another record on the right deck in your head phones, find the first beat on the record and your ready to cue it up which means listening to the tune through yous speakers and start counting 12345678 12345678 123456787.,...... while useing your hand to push the record back n thorth to the beat. so when you push forward you should hear the drum in the headphones on every 12345678. k at any point when theres a 1st beat on the record playing thru speakers you can throw the new tune in and listen in your head phones to it to pitch it up (get it the same speed as the record playing) this is the hardest part at first, defineing wheather the tune you wana bring in is faster or slower than the 1 already playing. like i said best get some lessons cos its all good explaining it 2 you but you need to be shown in person by someone to grasp it fully
