Its been a long time since I’ve posted here, and its been a long time for these tracks (Loose Ends - Emergency Dial 999 was 1984) I wanted a mix with this Loose ends track for so long and never got around to it. Tramaine Fall Down was another. These tracks are a compilation of sounds going around when I started going to clubs. I hope you enjoy them half as much as I do.

Malcolm McLaren was often branded a genius - but those who knew him also called him charlatan, hustler, plagiarist, pirate and, in the case of Sex Pistol frontman John Lydon, "the most evil person on earth". McLaren's genius, in all walks of life, was trendspotting. He always had an ear to the ground, listening for the next big thing. He claimed to have discovered hip-hop while promoting Bow Wow Wow in New York - although the image of the curly-haired ginger eccentric dressed in pirate gear at a sweaty Bronx party is hard to imagine. "It was like black punk rock," he said. "That was the inspiration behind my song Buffalo Gals which was the first commercial rap / scratch / hip hop record."

This is a mix I did for a friend of mine. It been mixed to take you on a spiritual melodic journey through the Drumming/singing/chanting of the Native American Indians and their way of life. The mix is not all chanting and drumming, it progresses into a trancey modern type of feel towards the middle onwards. Its done in a respectful way to show the rhythms that they had, and still have.
