3 years in the making.... well not really. As you may have guessed I've worked off and on this mix since 2012, finally taking the time to complete it this June (2015). This also marks the first time I've felt that one of the A State of Trance albums must be remixed. While certain tracks were quintessential AvB quality, overall the track selection was a significant drop off from all ASOTs from 2005 to 2011. Here I've condensed the two CD set in a single 80-min continuous mix with minor touches of my own tastes in track selection and transitions.
The mix starts off in typical On-the-Beach fashion with balearic tracks such as VillaNaranjos - Granadella, picking up energy towards the In-the-Club second half of the mix with the powerful yet melodic tune Susana & Max Graham - Down To Nothing. Electro fans get some love with Deadmau5 - Sofi Needs a Ladder. All of this combined with smooth transitions, precision beatmatching, and volume control that you expect from a studio produced album.
