End of Summer Solstice - Drum & Bass Mix 2014

As summer draws to a close and Autumn sets in, I have chosen this mix as my end of Summer 2014 DnB Mix. 2014 has been a great year for Drum & Bass so far, with so much good music out there, some incredible albums and fantastic producers, old and new. One of the highlight albums for me though landed in my inbox only a week ago and upon first play of it I wanted to take a selection of tracks from it and record a new mix.

The album in question is John B Presents - Drum & Bass 2014: Summer Session 

The album features 42 DnB tracks and is one of the best DnB compilations I have heard in a very long time, featuring many specially updated remixes, exclusive tracks, and many of John B's very own tracks from his back catalogue. John B along with S.P.Y is one of my fave DnB producers, but in his native UK he isnt as well known on the DNB circles as he is in the rest of Europe, especially Russia. Drum & Bass 2014: John B's Summer Sessions is entrenched in critical cuts you will not find on any other collection

I have included many John B tracks in my previous DnB Mixes.

I have selected my fave tracks from the compilation (which is 100 percent worth checking out for any serious DnB fan) and recorded a set that I feel is perfect for an end of summer drum and bass showdown... The mix starts off on a funky, Jazzy, liquid kinda vibe and builds as the set progresses, revisiting some of my favourite DnB tracks from the past all given a 2014 VIP update! A real journey mix, full of emotion...
