My Bio
Ever since I know myself, I been DJing reggae music. Oh yes, oh yes, o-o-o-o-ye-e-es. Since 1978 when I played a load of 12" I'd bought by mail order at the school disco, to an unexpectedly positive reaction considering no-one had ever heard any reggae before apart from Leggo Skanga. Now 34 years later I'm still doing it, with JAMbEATER Soundsystem, Cumbria's only dedicated reggae soundsystem. Making exclusive dubplates and mashups check out CriminalJusticeSounds ! Also reggae mixtapes for your listening and dancing pleasure at http://www.house-mixes.com/profile/DJCriminalJustice ! On the radio each Monday with reggae4us radio! 10PM till 1 am UK time!
Also Know as League Against Dubstep, forced to listen to dubstep while on a comedown at Beatherder, I hated it at first but now I realize its pretty fukin good if you can sift through the crap. Makin my own Dubstep tunes, giggin round Cumbria area, and on IMP radio each Saturday! www.impcommunity.moonfruit.com with the man like DJ GMIX!
Also was House and Techno DJ for almost 20 years somewhere in there. Who knows, I may do that again one day, but right now I'm on a Reggae Tip!

Mixes wot I done
Criminal Justice Sounds Reggae Mixtape - Dancehall Nice Again 2012 by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedUsing tunes released in the last few years, this is a showcase of some recent killers proving that the Dancehall can be Nice Again, and that reggae isn't just a load of hip hop and R&B rubbish now. Tune in to www.reggae4us.com every Monday at 10pm UK time to listen to myself playing a selection of this sort of stuff!
Criminal Justice Sounds - Digital Reggae Mix - Soundbwoy Get A Jambeatin VOLUME 2 by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedSound system stylee again! Digital mayhem again! Hardcore selection of kick ass digital reggae tunes mixed up in session,
No Nonsense basslines, dirty dirty dubs and all the fun of the dancehall...AGAIN! Another mix of digital tuneage, dating from 1985 to 2012, such legendary producers as King Jammy, Jah Tubbys, Donovan Germain, Fatis Burrell, and newer stars like Dreadsquad etc etc.. Since the Sleng Teng hit, digital has always been the best reggae!Criminal Justice Sounds feat. Sanna Hartfield - One Too Many Times - 12" discomix stylee by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedThe beauty of the internet. Sanna Hartfield's web site says "This page is for my acapellas. Feel free to download, remix and upload. " So I did, and this sprang into being in 2 days. Sanna can't half sing, and after listening to a few of her songs this one just called a riddim into existence in my head immediately... Full 12" discomix stylee with atomic dub section after the song.
Two Smoking Barrels - Criminal Justice Sounds refix of Double Barrel by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedWell I'm now on a mission to perfect a sort of digital rocksteady sound, and as a start to this I've remade one of my favorite rocksteady tunes, Digital Stylee... Trying to get a robotic digital feel, while keeping the vibe of the original and hopefully even adding to it, although how can you add to a classic, I just hope I've done it some justice. If I get a good reaction to this then I'll be using what I've learned making this, to make stuff of my own composition along similar lines...
All instruments played and sequenced by the Criminal Justice, but couldnt resist sampling some "urh" vocals from the original!
Richie Spice vs. Criminal Justice Sounds - Marijuana On The Drifter by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedOne of my favorite songs, remixed by me on one of my favorite riddims. Vocals Richie Spice of course, riddim all my own work but obviously based on "The Drifter" originally by Dennis Walks 1969, and versioned every 10 minutes since then. This mix has been artificially messed up to make it sound like it comes from a vinyl 45.
League Against Dubstep DJ Mix - Prehistoric Women by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedHi and welcome to another League Against Dubstep DJ mix, as I'm limbering up for the festival season... Trying to get away from the filth a bit here, and mix up some dubstep with a kind of listenable vibe rather than a strictly earbashing vibe, although there are earbashing bits in it. Listen to this mix like an album and let it take you on a journey from tranquility to violence and gently back down again...
Jambeater Skinhead Special! Rocksteady and early Reggae. Defy You Not To Dance! by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedRocksteady. The origin of most of the subsequent reggae riddims. Arguably when Jamaican music was at its best and most creative. Here are some of the most well known, some of the rarest, and some of the funniest and most risque of those tunes. Spills over into early reggae sometimes, and drops back to Ska occasionally, but I Defy You Not To Dance! Just like a Skinhead!Serious Roots reggae mix for JAMbEATER Soundsystem crew by DJ Criminal JusticeuploadedReggae aint just for dancing all the time. Put the headphones on, spark up a fatty and have a proper listen to these songs by people who really believe in what they're singing, no matter what you believe these will give you heart. The message is love, hope and peace, and freedom from opression.
This is reuploaded now with extra tracks, full CDs worth. To actually own a CD of this, all nicely printed and all, contact me!

Musical Influences
most artists only make one or two great records, and loads of rubbish ones, so no favorites. Prefer dubs to full vocals, anything with energy and not too cheesy
