Thanks for stopping by. This mix is a basicaly a compilation of 70s soul music. The songs just play from begining to end, one after another. I have remixed each song to have an intro and an outro. I also got rid of most of the songs long instrumental solos and just left the rhythm. Also, I tweaked it out a bit.
My thing is only with Cool Edit Pro for this mix. I split, cut, paste, duplicate, loop, filter, etc...The BPM is also the original for each song. I didn't import any beats that didn't come with the song originally. I guess you can say these songs are an organic mix - but thats such a hipster term...
Here's the track list:
Song 1, Gil Scot Heron - The Bottle
Song 2, (3:28 minutes in) Baby Huey - Hard Time
Song 3, (7:43 minutes in) George McCrae - I get Lifted
song 4, (10:56 minutes in) the Jackson Sisters - I believe in Miracles
Song 5, (15:06 minutes in) the Expressions - Money is King - instrumental
Song 6, (18:07 minutes in) Classics IV - Spooky
Song 7, (20:43 minutes in) Eddie Simpson - big Black funky Slave
Song 8, (23:40 minutes in) Lafayette Afro Funk Band - Hihache
