Here is the 1st edition of the "Weekend Classics Megamix" containing some of the best 80's (and 1 or 2 90's) music seamlessly mixed together into one smooth non-stop fabulous megamix ...!

SOME INFO

This megamix is a long "one hour" version in the same style mixes as the regular weekly mix-item I created for two local Dutch radiostations from November 2nd 2013 until July 19th 2014 called "Weekend Classics Mix". My weekly mix-item was broadcasted each Saturday on local Dutch radiostation Extra FM (in the morning in "De Weekendwekker") and mediagroep-EVA (in the evening in "Weekend Classics").

The only difference between the weekly mix-item version of "Weekend Classics Mix" and the Megamix edition are the length of transitions/crossovers. In the Megamix edition I got more time to create nice long smooth transitions/crossovers whilst in the 10/11 minutes version with 10 tracks I created every week, there isn't much possibility for making those.

If one really loves long smooth transitions/crossovers I like to suggest you listen to my megamix called ...

"Back 2 Basic - A Music Flash-back (The Second Edition-disc 4) (mixed by Luciën Vrolijk)"

It features nice smooth long transitions/crossovers between the tracks from various era such as the 80's - 90's but also 00's .. you should really check it out ..! The title says it all: back to the basic of mixing .. nice long transitions/crossovers because after all, that's what mixing is all about ..!!

I did a second edition of "Weekend Classics Megamix" which is an Italo Megamix, containing the real Italo Sound. The second edition is called "Weekend Classics Megamix volume 2 - The Original Sound Of Italy" and contains 65 tracks in a total playing time of approx. 57 minutes. Artists such as Sandy Marton - Midnight Passion - Ross - Sheila Steward - Valentino - Max Him - Mike Mareen - Mark Farina and many more are featured in this megamix.

The name of the mix-item got changed into "Mixed Up Classix" due to the fact that the host of "Weekend Classics" didn't want to broadcast my mixes anymore. So as of September 6th 2014 I'm creating a weekly mix-item exclusively for local Dutch radiostation Extra FM (www.extrafm.nl).

BROADCAST

This "Weekend Classics Megamix volume 1" was broadcasted in 2013 on two local Dutch radiostations ..

- October 19th 2013: broadcasted on Extra FM (www.extrafm.nl)

- December 28th 2013: broadcasted on mediagroep-EVA (www.mediagroep-eva.nl)

Hope you'll enjoy this 80's classics megamix!

If you do, please leave a comment underneath this mix and/or add it to your playlist :)

Best wishes, djlucien
