I was still a schoolboy when I did my first gig around 1980; playing 70's disco tracks - you gotta love a driving bassline! The love for disco never went away and I still find myself dropping disco tracks into house mixes. Whatever the genre I favour progressive tunes; if its *musical* I'll probably like it and it's not unusual for me to slot in oldskool piano, trance, disco and funk into the same mix.
I'll never be made to choose and stick to one genre, the bottom line is: If I like it I'll play it, if I don't, I won't 'anthem' or not.
I use vinyl, not because of vinyl snobbery, its just that all of my tunes are on vinyl.
I've been playing on an internet radio station every Friday night for a few years now, I play gigs when I'm invited and I've played some seriously major ones including the midnight 'till one a.m. slot at the legendary 'Life @ Bowlers' main hall back 'in the day' and more recently at the reunions at 53 Degrees in Preston and back in Bowlers Trafford Park.
