Support The KiwiDiscman protest and support Beyonce in her protest against of the size 0 models walking the cat walks of worldwide fashion shows.

"Pretty Hurts" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her fifth studio album, Beyoncé (2013). It impacted mainstream radio in the United States on June 10, 2014 as the fourth single from the album. The song was written by Sia Furler, Ammo and Beyoncé, while the production was handled by the latter two. "Pretty Hurts" was initially written for Katy Perry and then offered to Rihanna; as both of the artists did not record it, the song was eventually sent to Beyoncé who decided to include it on her fifth studio album that was still in development.

"Pretty Hurts" is a pop self-empowerment song discussing society beauty stereotypes and analyzing female body image. Beyoncé decided to record it to show the negative affect of beauty pageants and expectations on how women should look. Upon its release, it received positive reviews from music critics who commended the lyrics and Beyoncé's vocal performance. Prior to the release of the song as a single, it charted on several international charts after the release of Beyoncé in 2013 and its music video in April 2014.

Now for the truth..........Does the recent row about normal-sized women appearing on the catwalks mean super-skinny models have had their day?

For the past century, and long before, extremes of the female form have been celebrated. In the 20s you were out of fashion if you had breasts, whereas in the 40s you needed an ample bosom. In the 60s, Twiggy took us back to the flat-chested, boyish form. Then we returned, in the 80s, to the Amazonian image with models like Cindy Crawford. For the past 20 years, though, we have been stuck with variations on the waif. Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira may have all supposedly heralded the acceptability of curves (all, incidentally, tiny in real life), but the models on the catwalks, and in the magazines, have continued to shrink.

The concern over super-skinny models has been growing in recent years. In 2006, model Luisel Ramos died during Uruguayan Fashion Week, having fasted for several days. Later the same year, Ana Carolina Reston, a Brazilian model, was killed by an infection resulting from anorexia nervosa. Earlier this year, British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman wrote to all the major design houses about her concerns that models have ‘jutting bones and no breasts or hips’, they have to wear ‘minuscule’ garments and that Vogue frequently has to retouch photographs to make the models appear larger. There have been repeated calls to see a greater variety of sizes on the catwalks and in photoshoots but, until recently, these seem to have fallen on deaf ears within the fashion industry.

I say "F" the designers and challenge society to challenge the designers. How many size 0 people do you see sitting around the catwalks buying what the models are wearing.

How many size 0 models have made it into their 60's, I say none, they have taken the money they earn t to an early grave. I say "F**K" the designers and suggest that all models should be who they are and walk the catwalks with pride portraying society as the average person sees it.
