(( Funky Deep Sexy Jackin Disco House ))
This mix first aired on Marc Fairfield's Kick down 2 Get Down podcast week of November 6th, 2011... As the name suggests, it contains tracks that are heavily Disco oriented, but additionally it is also a Deep/Funky/Jazzy/Jackin one hour journey as well...
The project took nearly two months to edit, produce and arrange. It contains tracks that I have meticulously re-fixed and re-formulated. It is also dialed down to 127 BPM so things have time to develop within the project. This version of the mix has several post production edits/additions and sonic enhancements plus a bonus track (Monoman - I'm Every - Sonny Fodera Remix w/a touch of Mix-Chemistry) that is not contained in the Kick down 2 Get Down version archived on Podomatic.
Disco Deviant was a lot fun to mix and arrange... As I continue down the path of mix productions or refixes - I am amazed at how fluid things have become nowadays. It used to take lots of trial and error to get things right in a mix, and lately it feels as things just come together... as they should! Some of the mixes are accidental believe it or not!
