Word Up.
This is a (radio) mix done for Shed Radio (Radio DEHS). The tracks here all have a magical feel to all of us, wether it's how they sound, the people we were with when we heard them or even the place. It's what got us started and there were so many tracks that did that. We had to omit a few (that means we have to do more mixes to fit in the ones we missed!)
Amazing how old these tracks are (and how well we reckon they hold up today). These tracks influenced people all over the world, they brought people together and hold some amazing memories for people everywhere today. So many memories spring to mind and listing them here would take up too much space. Respect to the people who loved this stuff as much as us, and big ups to the dj's that brought it around the world for us.
None of us will be here forever but these tunes and the memories they hold will be. Close your eyes and you can't stop something coming back, maybe something you'd forgotten. Thanks for listening and hopefully this will bring back some memories of sitting next to the radio, waiting for your song to come on, and making yourself a tape!
