A preview (short 7”mix) of the epic soundscape that is “THE LOST EPILOGUE” the first track to come from the new collaboration of musicians and producers, coming out of the (Leftfield Division) of the stables at the LAB studios in East London.
The Analogue All Stars are Aiming to push musical boundaries & fuse genres; this track is an attempt to create music in the style of Orchestral Grime, using intelligent production, lush harmonies and wondrous strings to evoke emotion and create both atmosphere and depth, suitable for a film soundtrack.
We sort of based the scene on the end of the classic UK 80's gangster movie "The Long Good Friday" & this is our modern reinterpretation of how we would have composed the soundtrack, if the movie was done today. Essentially we tried to take the spirit of Haunted dancehall by Sabres of Paradise and fuse it with the creative production of the infamous Legendary Underground Producer Black Dog, whilst underwriting the entire feel & mood of the classic scene of London Mob Boss Harold Shands’ (Played by Bob Hoskins) sudden departure from the film, as he is driven away by the IRA.
We hope you enjoy it half as much as we enjoyed making it; managing to squeeze in 48 separate tracks into the mix! Look out for the full and luscious 12" mix, coming out soon as a pre-cursor to studio LP later in the year.
