This was the mix I cut my teeth on, back in January 2013. This was me teaching myself the art of digital mixing & editing. It encapsulates everything that Drum & Bass means to me, namely that Hospital Records sound: vibrant, catchy, soulful. In fact, half the tracks featured here are from that label. [There are more planned for a future classic Hospital Records Mix]. Many of the tracks reach back to 2009 and a whole lot earlier (2000!), but the sound is still as fresh today as it ever was. High Contrast is very much front-and-centre, and deservedly so. Lenny Fontana's "Spread Love" & the Sub Focus remix of "Could This Be Real" are my personal highlights. The whole mix was given a make-over, with remastered tracks and adjusted blends - the usual stuff. I hope this mix gives you the same warm, fuzzy feeling that I get when I hear it.
