Bio
I began my dj life back in 1981 in local gay bars and proceeded to travel around the state and abroad. As I played in different venues, I was always approached by the male clientelle telling me that they were very surprised to see a woman in the booth much less know the club music so well and be able to mix as a "male dj" would. What I would answer them was that "women have rhythm and music in their souls as well. We aren't only a "breeding machine" but we can give the world life and that is through music." When asked how did I feel being in control at the tables my answer would be " like the puppermaster Gepetto. I can give life to dummies that never knew what would await them in the limelight of it all." ;) I started with vinyl and still use vinyl as well as cd's and computers. I have had to semi-retire due to my illness (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and Thyroid Cancer ( which was caught all in the nick of time due to an error the Radiology tech made. She read the orders wrong and did an full MRI instead of the waist down for renal stones.) Yup GOD is a Dj and Music is my life! Still do guest spots here and there and mighty proud of it. My favorite dj's include my mentor Dj Johnny T who is now playing in Heaven, Dj Eddie Nomad, Dj Robert "Peanut" Garcia, Dj Jimmy Smith who I had the pleasure of working with at the Bonham Exchange, Dj Michael Tank, Dj Tiesto, Dj Barry Harris, Dj Frankie Knuckles, Dj Robert "Bobby" Martin and many more to name.... May music never die because that will be the demise of humankind. Peace and Amor, Dj Roz...
