Having the skillz is only the start , the track choice is an important!!! I am no expert and this is only my opinion !!!!!!!
Choose your tracks carefully - Use Mixed in Key to help
Mix towards the end of the track and the begining of the next, as there is normally 20 to 30 secounds of just beat, giving you no vocal clashes or as I call it to much going on ! if not learn where the breaks are in the track, this will help keep the mix flowing as thet tracks are to long or don't get boring.
Try and Keep your mix flowing - the hard bit, I tend to treat it as a roller coaster and sometimes use a more energetic track to bring the mix back up..
And finally - commercial house seems to be the prefered genre on here so mix a few well know tracks into your mix and and track list it!!! you will get more hits
