My interests in music started at a very early age when my mom and dad put me in front of a Yamaha keyboard. As I grew older, I picked up the trombone, sax and base guitar. Ironically, I never could really read music. However, I did have a good ear. So I would just listen to what was going on around me and improvise. Naturally Jazz became one of my favorite forms of music early on as it really allowed me to express myself musically and unlock my creative talent.

As I moved into my teens, I gravitated towards hip-hop. But with my strong interest in Jazz I was very inspired by the east coast sounds from artists such as Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Pharcyde, and the Beasties. It was at this time when started to collect a massive collection of music and would spend most of my free time making countless mix tapes for friends.

But it wasn’t until I left for college that I got my first chance to DJ. I remember a friend asked if I could fill in and DJ a house party. It was an amazing experience to be in front of a few hundred people and feed off their every move. That experience transformed me and I knew I finally found my true passion in life. Back then I was still DJing mostly hip hop. It wasn't till I moved back to San Francisco in the late 90's that I discovered and started DJing House.

Living in San Francisco in the late 90's, I was lucky enough to have been exposed to many great artists and venues. I quickly immersed myself into the local house scene and would spend most of my free time combing the local record shops. I was inspired by artists such as Mark Farina, Ellen Ferrato, Miguel Migs, Jeno and Julius Papp for their ability to blend so many different styles of music into their sets. These artists inspired me to explore many different genres and styles. I particularly gravitated towards the funky/jazzy sounds with hip-hop influences. This has really become my signature style and something you will hear in my sets.

At the end of the day, I’m just someone who has a passion for music. I hope you enjoy these sets. If you do, leave a comment and let me know. Repost and share with others. And follow me on Facebook:
