DJ Voltron, aka Ben Lawless is a house DJ who plays an eclectic mix of house styles, primarily deep, disco and funky. He plays turntables and also a laptop-only set involving three instances of ableton live. He has been DJing since 1997 (1997-2008 as DJ Punjab). He held a residency at Dunedin's (NZ) premiere nightclub - Bath Street, for 1999 and 2000, playing 7 hour sets every Saturday night with all shades of funky house, importing vinyl from Europe to play to newly converted South Island New Zealanders. He created the "Housetrap" house nights that ran for a few years in Dunedin, NZ. He has played gigs in NZ, Australia, England and Canada. He formed the DJ Collective "The Goodness DJs" which hosted club nights in Melbourne, Australia during 2008 & 2009. He had a weekly radio show on CJSF 90.1FM (Vancovuer) in the afternoon and now provides mixes for them to be playing in their graveyard slots. anada. He is back in Melbourne, setting up a club night "The Prom" and looking for individual DJing gigs...
