Bio
Music has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember and im confident to say its shaped who I am today. From a very young age I was very much into Syththesized music , especially Jean Michelle Jarre (one of my all time heroes). Along side this I loved early electro house and Detroit techno so naturally , was blown away with the late 80’s acid house explosion and even more so by the early 90’s Rave explosion, and this is where my passion really set in. I first went on a pair of decks at the tender age of 9 years old (1991), and around this time got 1xdeck for Christmas, now….clearly you don’t have to be a dj to understand that this is useless for mixing, but, for beatmatching, this was the best thing you could imagine! Id beatmatch vinyls to tapes,or anything that was playing in the house, and by the time I got my 2nd deck and mixer at 12years old, the learning curve of beatmatching was already mastered! Now, musically , im predominantly Hardcore, always have been, from early breakbeat hardcore right through to todays sounds. Ive loved the evolution of the sound and have the same passion for the sound as I did 20 years ago. Trance was a major influence for me in the 90’s too , especially Paul Oakenfold/Sasha/Digweed to name a few….their ability to seamlessly blend tracks together over the course of an hour or so and leave me feeling like id been on a musical journey really inspired me and applied this same technique to everything I mixed. Today, I concentrate mainly on Uk Hardcore and Hard dance, which while im “here” must mention how impressed and inspiring I find hard dance at the mo , from the techy minimal sounds right through to the tough hardstyle sounds of Europe, I feel this scene has got a lot to offer and has something for everyone. Im loving the Hard dance scene as a whole at the moment, whether it be Breakbeats/Kickdrums/trancey/ravey/techy/fast/slow…..the scene in my eyes is as diverse as its ever been, whatever others may think!
Music is a way of life!

My Mixes / Tracks
Kick to the core 45 by WheelleguploadedSticking with the 'Dont Judge a mix by the 1st track' approach, this mix takes a temporary break from the beakbeat sounds and sticks more with the kicks, starting off dark and subtle with some absolute freeform gems, moving into the vocal sounds of UK Hardcore and in reflection of the great weather lately, increasing the fun and happy sounds from hereonAs always, love to hear your thoughts :)AndyKick to the core 44 by WheelleguploadedThe second mix of 2013 featuring another slammin mix of breakbeat hardcore and uplifting vocal uk hardcore. Not only is it my birthday this weekend, but also the sad anniversary that we lost one of the greatest up and coming producers from the scene, so I dedicate this to Nu Foundation
RIP Mikey

Kick to the core 41 by WheelleguploadedPossibly the last Hardcore mix of mine for 2012! Who'd have thought when I started mixing this stuff in 1994 i'd be doing the same in 2012! Anyway, another slammin mix of upfront bangers! Ive taken my foot off the Breakbeat pedal on this one a little! Please let me know your thoughts!
Wheelleg FacebookKick to the core 38 by WheelleguploadedThe latest instalment of the KTTC series kicks off with some high octane vocal Drum & Bass / breakbeat hardcore, taking a sharp turn into the 4x4 kicks of uk hardcore progressing nicely to the more uplifting and euphoric sounds of todays underground sound with the usual flare of the oldskool flavour!Kick to the core 37 (Upfront UK hardcore) by WheelleguploadedLoving this one! Recorded in the midst of the heat wave. This was the result of reminiscing about days gone by and the fun of yesteryear! A full on audio assault of many flavours from todays underground hardcore sound! This is the sound of summer, with something for everyone. Whether its Old skool riffs, killer breakbeats, pounding kick drums or euphoric vocals....this is the one to smash the speakers with!
Feel free to get in touch :-)

wheelleg@hotmail.co.ukEmotional response 4 by WheelleguploadedBeautifully crafted beats, heavenly melodies and angelic vocals make this one of my personal favorite mixes of mine, really proud of this one! Starting at a gentle pace and moving through the ranks to the more adrenalin fuelled sounds yet keeping with the sound of the series, this mix captures the sound of the "laid back anthem".Id really love to hear any comments, from one trance fan to another, would be appreciated!ThanksAndy

Phat-ToneHi bud, have you listened to Black Wednesday, by Chris Unknown, Technikore & DJ Sy yet? What you think? You're probably not old enough to remember the tune it's based on. I'm quite liking it, but then, it is a blast from my past nicely brought up to speed so I would, wouldn't I?
