OK, so what do you play when you get the 3pm opening set of a fine summer's day old skool party? It's 33 degrees and you know you're going to be playing to the bar staff, a few loyal followers and those in search of a refreshing ale or 7.Well... if you're me, you'll spend a few weeks culling thousands of tracks down to a few dozen appropriate tunes, cut them up into loops and phrases and assemble them into ableton in a way that lends itself to improvisation.Then you hit record and hope it sounds good.So here it is, a 115 bpm summer flavoured breakbeaty jam - very light on the acid (I don't think there's any actually), quite varied in it's choice of tracks and every track cut up, re-edited, looped and whatever else... not too many crazy effects though. For the most part it came out better than I expected - there were a couple of points when it lost sync during the New Order jam, but I've cleaned that up... everything else was pretty much done live in one take.Enjoy it kids - I had fun making it.;)

I cant even remember recording this!

As with all Decembers shows it's Extended and it's a BUMPER with 270 Mins of Audio Debauchery, across the board as we surf the genres in a quest for rhythms of substance.
As always thoroughly eclectic warm up courtesy of show Host & producer Adventures in Sound, otherwise known as Marky G; surfing the genres to make the hours fly by on your Saturday afternoons!
This weeks Special Guest Selector was our old pal the lovely Julie Stevens up with her Ten to Contend (2nd innings) and going with a silky Smooth Soul Glow Vibe she soothed our senses and took us on a trip down memory lane with some old classics and a little bit of Neo _ Soul R & B from her own personal faves.
As always LIVE STUDIO  VERSION available already via BLOG.  Friend Up Mark Gardner on FB (Look for the one in London with the Strange Cargo Ad) and wait for the regular status update/s.
The show is broadcast Saturdays 1pm - (normally to 3pm) but extended for ALL of December to 5.30pm UK TIME.  In the last 2.5 Hrs I will (each week) take 5 samples of some GEMS of other people's mix tapes fro my own collection and incorporate them into the show for your listening pleasure.

Double portions of (the) Balearic (Destination) today with Leo Zeros re-working of the Police's Excellent Voices inside my head and then onto Ofra Haza with Im Nin Alu, as sampled for the legendary MARRS track, pump up the volume.  In fact there were a few tracks today's for the sample spotters among us ;-)
