This is a short, quick and dirty mix I put together on a whim around 2 years ago, using some old school west coast hip hop vinyl and a pair of beat up technics. If you love that classic west coast hip hop sound, you will enjoy this.
Anyone want transporting back to the mid 1980`s?...The freshest old skool Hip-Hop jams from that era all smashed up on 2 Technics and my Pioneer DJM 909 Mixer...that`s right party people it`s a vinyl only mix(just like how we used to do it way back in the days!! Most of the tunes i used in the mix are quite rare and are expensive too so you are really in for a treat.Whether you`re old skool and know the tunes from all those years ago,or new skool and fancy checking out what Hip-Hop was like in the 80`s then this mix will give you a very good idea.Hardcore 808 drums, boomin` basses and slick raps add up to a real flashback to how it was back then.So sit back, turn it up loud and travel back to when Hip-Hop was FRRRRRRREESSSSSSSSSHHHHH!!! Word!!Feedback would be great...feel free to pass the link on as well folks.Cheers:)

This is a very short mix dedicated to Dwight Heavy D Myers. Jamaican born, Mt Vernon raised mc rapper was one of the best in the game. From the true school of hip hop when skills mattered. This mix is also dedicated to Troy Trouble T Roy Dixon who was part of Heavy D and the Boyz he also passed many years before. Being raised in Mt Vernon myself way back in the day. Hev represented the small New York suburb with dignity. Now Mt. Vernon is known for putting out hot rappers and singers, and producers, who include some of the best producers in the game to include Sean Diddy combs, Pete Rock, and Eddie F. Heavy Ds originality talents were unique his musical styles ranged from hip hop, house, R and B, and straight up reggae. I apologize for the duration of the mix. I got alot going on right now so I did this mix while trying to move. I hope everyone likes it.
Just a selection of R'n'B and Hip Hop that my regulars are absolutely loving at the moment.. not really 'mixed', but I think its a nice little set. Hope you like :)
Something totally different this time but if you like the old school Hip-Hop/Electro Funk from the 80's then you certainly have to listen to this mix. For me it brought back some good old memories. All tracks are taken from my personal vinyl collection and I hope you will enjoy it. Please let me know what you think of it.
