Chilled beats from Tangier. Includes:Nightmares on Wax,DJ Prince Patyma,Spirits of the Wind,Caravane,Jesse Cook,Emancipator,DJ Awal,Nako,Orient Express,Oasis and Foulane in an Arabic Ambient blend by Danny from Tangier.
Ethno Jazz blend by Danny from Tangier. On April 20th a friend of mine asked me if I would come and see a Jazz concert by a group called "Quartiers Rouges" who happened to be from his home province,Brittany. Knowing the scene in Tangier I thought o.k let's go 'n check it out and if we don't like it we just get the hell out of there. To my utter amazement them guys were absolutely fantastic.I'm a fan of Miles Davis and Erik Truffaz and while I sat there listening to these guys I thought "Give them a couple of years and they'll be on the same level with the latter." I bought 2 CD's one for my friend and one for myself, went home to do this mix while the vibes I got from the concert where still fresh. I included tracks by Anouar Brahem,Jan Garbarek,Vassilis Tsabropoulos,Jack DeJohnette,Eberhard Weber and John Surman all from the ECM Records catalogue. You'll see that the "flow" is not interrupted but goes seamless from one track in to the other. The Record is called "Quartiers Rouges" featuring:Alan Madec,Michel Saulnier,Valery Gaignard and Bachir Rouimi. I used 5 of 8 tracks on the CD.Normally I extract maximum 3 or 4 tracks from any given record, this means,I really liked it...which speaks for itself. Enjoy and if they happen to be in your town make sure to go to the concert.
Two Worlds = Good Sound! 256 Kbit, 120-125 BPM
This is a
mix for absolute music lovers, not for the mainstream. It is my personal
fantastic way in music, which I demonstrate in this set. 25 years of hearing
Jazz, Funk & Soul makes me free in my mind. Techno and House is the
consequent expansion of the all time existing vibes of Jazz.
some classic stuff, from reformers of music in general. Creators for all other
music, also Techno! Prince Lasha, Sun
Ra, Alice Coltrane and Nat Adderley - Cosmic Jazz, most important for music in
general, but also I bring together some crazy and rare Fusion Jazz stuff from MPS
Records: George Duke and Wolfgang
Dauner. Or other wild things from Headhunters, Bob James…
and so on.
At the opposite
side I select slower Techno tracks, also from innovators: Underground Resistance,
Derrick May, Jeff Mills or Theo Parrish.
A lot of
the music you will hear, is not common, in this mix it is unique.
experience shows me, that it is really not easy to bring it together. At the beginning I decide to mix one jazz tune, one techno tune and so on, at the half of the mix I bring the thing together, as an symbiosis.
So, maybe you tell me what is your
most delicious moment in this mix
searched for such mixes on the internet, but have not found any. Maybe this is not good to hear but try and oben up your mind!
So lets put it this way- IM FUCKING FREE! XD hah i finally can do what i want to do! Study music! and here his mix is kinda like a celebration :P Not exactly new songs, its a fusion of both new, old and also a fusion of progressive/electro house. I had been trying to figure out how to get a perfect fusion between electro and progressive go on, and well hard work pays off kinda. Im trying to get better so im gonna upload many such mixes, also im gonna do a dubstep mix, havent done that in a long time :D All this while im trying to work on making my own sounds.. that is actually so much fun haha! A producer reading this would know ^^ kinda like the noob stages of producing is where i am at currently :P but im gonna get there, soon :D Back to the mix, it contains ALOT of my favourites, actually i love every part of every song that is in this. the hook after the first drop in the second song, both the tracks by maison and dragen, oh fuck that is nuts. wet dreams and the coming home remix by those guys, just nuts. the first track, one of the best clarity remixes i have heard in a while. So yep, try to survive :P Dont knock anything over when wet dreams drops hah! (Just btw, what is your favourite part of the song? ^^ Mine would be wet dreams and coming home drop. Ill be posting the tracklist soon enough, let me know in the comments which part of the mix makes you jump around like a mad fool! xD) (Also, have you heard luma by the m machine? oh the grand piano at the start of the song <3 Just sayin :P)
