About two years ago I found a Video clip on youtube which blew my mind. In the first place because of her Voice, the arrangement, interpretation and the Singer is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly sexy. It is by American Soul/Rock/Jazz/Country/Blues and Opera Singer/Songwriter Holle Thee Maxwell.Who started her career as Holly Maxwell at age 5! She replaced Tina Turner in the Ike Turner's Band and worked with The Temptations,The (Detroit) Spinners,Little Jimmy Smith,The Dells,Captain and Tenille and many, many more. Unfortunately I have'nt been able to find any of her recordings on the usual download sites that's why I decided to use the extracted audio from the youtube video quality issues and all. I tried very hard to filter and equalize, the result can be heard on the first track of this record. The song is called "You better Stop" There is more on Holle Thee Maxwell on the Internet so I suggest you check it out! Includes:Quincy Jones,George Benson,Sonny Liston-Smith and others.

The following are tracks put out Mar '13 - May '13 (with the exception of DJ Gray "Fairest in the Land" released March '11.....I actually heard this track from a dj I was doing a duo with). This is a perfect blend of funk, jazz, hip hop, r&b, soul, swing, you name it all integrated in the genre I love spinning most, Jackin House. You will def hear familiar samples and songs remixed and produced by various house artists. As expected, this mix is a steady journey from start to finish. Enjoy!!
Dhafer Youssef,Natacha Atlas,Gotan Project,Amparanoia,Andrej 747,Esperanza Spalding,Karrin Allyson,Macao Café and Renée Olstead are some of the Artists used in this Oriental - Latin - Jazz - Lounge recording.
Extra Long Play mix by Danny from Tangier.(Approximately 120 min.)
Includes:Suntheca Productions,Jens Buchert,Ouija,Thomas Newman,Bliss,Ephemeral Mists,Siebzehn,Zymosis,Nexus,Fast Connection,Das Kraftfutter Mischwerk,Anwar Murad,Camel Train,Nightmares on Wax,The Dutch Tea Lounge,Cultured Pearls,Luca Fioretti,Peter Flower,Dave Holland Quartet and Ozric Tentacles.
If you know the Artists I used in this blend you might think just how does Dave Holland (Jazz) fit in with the "Ozrics" (Progressive Rock),Jens Buchert (Electronic) or Cultured Pearls (Funk)? I guess you'll have to find out and listen won't you?
A blend by Danny from Tangier. Includes:JFC,Mystery Kids,The Spiral Staircase,Snapper,Mind Print,Anouar Brahem,Pat Metheny Group,Aural Planet,Erinya,Euphonic Traveller,Kruse & Nuernberg,Abida Parveen,Dave Holland Quartet,Eberhard Weber,Ligia Franca,Marco Parmigiani and Carla Bley in an unusual Ambient,Ethnic,Jazz mix. It needs to get used to,I'm aware of that. But once you've taken the time and listened to this CD you'll discover that although it's several styles mixed together it makes perfect sense. Relax and enjoy...Danny from Tangier.
ACHTUNG - ATTENTION. This is a really crazy mix, nothing to dance or relaxing, only for my free (freaky) ideas of music
Two Worlds = Good Sound! 256 Kbit, 120-125 BPM
This is a
mix for absolute music lovers, not for the mainstream. It is my personal
fantastic way in music, which I demonstrate in this set. 25 years of hearing
Jazz, Funk & Soul makes me free in my mind. Techno and House is the
consequent expansion of the all time existing vibes of Jazz.
some classic stuff, from reformers of music in general. Creators for all other
music, also Techno! Prince Lasha, Sun
Ra, Alice Coltrane and Nat Adderley - Cosmic Jazz, most important for music in
general, but also I bring together some crazy and rare Fusion Jazz stuff from MPS
Records: George Duke and Wolfgang
Dauner. Or other wild things from Headhunters, Bob James…
and so on.
At the opposite
side I select slower Techno tracks, also from innovators: Underground Resistance,
Derrick May, Jeff Mills or Theo Parrish.
A lot of
the music you will hear, is not common, in this mix it is unique.
experience shows me, that it is really not easy to bring it together. At the beginning I decide to mix one jazz tune, one techno tune and so on, at the half of the mix I bring the thing together, as an symbiosis.
So, maybe you tell me what is your
most delicious moment in this mix
searched for such mixes on the internet, but have not found any. Maybe this is not good to hear but try and oben up your mind!
