This mix, was nostalgically mixed together live on my beloved 1210's, blending late 80's and early 90's acid house music.
I've recently become inspired by the feed back I have received by younger clubbers, who love seeeing and hearing vinyl being mixed by hand.
I have chosen the tracks on this mix without a great deal of thought on how they would click together so one or two of the mixes are a bit cloppy, but forget that, the tunes are monsters, which have rocked dancefloors for up to 21 years. I'll say that again... 21years. Wow!
It is incredible (to me), when I put these tunes on, how my opinion of them has changed. I mean as a club DJ during the 90's the emphasis was on playing the newest tunes, keepin g the dance floor grinning and hanging on the beats withh thoughts of what next what next...
Obviously the floorfillers remained in the box, yet the lesser played more underground and therefore by default rarer tunes now sound so fesh they sound as heady and interesting as they did the day I bought them.
This mix is not a fair reflection of my true house music style, but I went with the selection of first come first played and entered onto a rather enjoyable, gritty dirty, sweaty underground acid house journey.
Enough said now, I genuinely hope you find the time to read this, but more importantly listen to the journey I went on for an hour thru ACID HOUSE!
