That modern ska sound captured! Not your punky ska bands but more underground reggae/ska crossovers. Mostly released the last few years but couldn't resist adding Capital Letters from 1979. Going out to the reggaeoverdrive crew!
This is a first for me in dedication to my late friend Andrew Jackson. He was so supportive of me and my family and always gave more than he received. In life you only get one or two good friends. Andrew was like extended family! I Miss him. The mixes are dedicated in his memory! He really put me onto soca music which I am proud to say I have a sincere liking for and will be included in my soca mixes dedicated to labor day as well!
This is the fifth installment of this reggae set. I think it is sprinkled with dome house music at the very end because I was getting ready to do another set of mixing. I was happy to do this though!
Sound system stylee again! Digital mayhem again! Hardcore selection of kick ass digital reggae tunes mixed up in session,
No Nonsense basslines, dirty dirty dubs and all the fun of the
dancehall...AGAIN! Another mix of digital tuneage, dating from 1985 to
2012, such legendary producers as King Jammy, Jah Tubbys, Donovan
Germain, Fatis Burrell, and newer stars like Dreadsquad etc etc.. Since
the Sleng Teng hit, digital has always been the best reggae!
