Neil’s production career began in 1992 when his first alias NRG was
born. A mix-tape DJ originally into hip-hop and breaks, was lured into
the nocturnal world of the UK rave scene. Instantly latching onto this
crazy sound, Neil’s take on it was to take him and the music on an
unforgettable journey. Comparisons to The Prodigy were often made to
Neil's early sound. Amazing highs and lows followed which left the legacy of some of the
rave scene’s most classic anthems, and some hard business lessons
learned along the way. As a pirate radio DJ Neil signed to the infamous
Chill Records that eventually went bust. Through Chill Neil released the
huge anthem ‘I Need Your Lovin’ which sampled the Korgis ‘Everybody’s
Gotta Learn Sometime’. This was licensed to more than 50 labels
worldwide. Also followed ‘Never Lost His Hardcore’, a hard-house anthem
to this day, which saw success on classic Belgium imprint R&S
Records and later on Tidy Trax in the UK.
In this mix, we showcase out the bouncy side to Hard Dance. Just turn it up and really annoy the neighbours with 21 tracks that are all about the bounce!
