TRANSMITTING LIVE FROM MARS was made during an alien abduction using only vinyl circular slabs over two decks of an alien spacecraft. At the controls was Jazzamatazz aka Order To Trance who was comunicating with the the abductors using only sound. It was discovered that music was the common language of both alien and human beings so the abductee and his abductors had a proper rave up and partied well into the night until the next morning when Jazzamatazz was set free and placed back on his own planet earth and ordered by his new alien friends to share the wonderful sounds he had shared with them. He was sent back with the order to trance. Jazzamatazz frequently visits the outer limits with his alien pals and what you are about to hear is transmitting live from Mars!
THE JOURNEY is the second installment of THE PYROCLASTIC FLOW TRILOGY which is a 4 and a half hour mix divided into 3 parts. The trilogy was made in one session at a private party of ravers in the mid 90s. There were no rehersals, all the mixes are completely off the cuff and most of the records played were picked by the party goers who were exploring the record box and handing Dj Jazz(O.T.T.) whatever record they wanted to hear. The party was taped and years later 3 of the tapes have been found and brought together again to be converted to mp3. This trilogy is now being shared to show that all styles of electronic music can be blended together with the crowd hearing what they want to hear. It seems that there is a certain amount of snobbery among DJs who insist on only playing one style to please themselves. Electronic dance music has been broken into far too many groups,it seems that a new name is being given to a slightly different genre every few months. It used to be simply called either house, techno, jungle or garage but nowadays the list is endless. The trilogy shows that an atmosphere can be created by mixing all genres without the snobbery of not playing a record because its not the style you want to play, which is ridiculous as the main point of a DJ is to please the crowd not just themselves. That's my rant over. Tune in and enjoy the jazzy mixture of sounds, this is your Order To Trance.Peace.
This mix was recorded last month live @ The
Embankment with no intention to upload this. It's far from flawless. Due
to pressure from some headz this selection seems to be just to deep not
to share with you as Ben L's October mix.
Some deep and heavy techno picks by the likes of Rocco Cain, Lucy
& Xhin, Terence Fixmer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Shifted, Planetary Assault
Systems, Plastikman, Slam, Spektre, Mathew Jonson, Chris Liebing and
Space DJ'z.
