After a fun hippy jam fest with a mate the other day, I thought I'd see whether I could, from scratch, play a hippy song into Ableton Live. Step one; pick the classic hippy jam (Pink Floyd: Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun). Step two; I set up a couple of percussion tracks (NI Kontakt), plugged my bass into one, microphone into another, got a organ in there (NI Kontakt), a generative weird sound through some filter (NI Reaktor), and vocoded the audio a bit (Ableton).Ah and some drum loop thing in NI Massive. Hit record, played the loops in, and this was the result. It's proper messy, the levels are whack, but I thought it sounded cool considering it was played live and I can't sing for shit. It will sound tripped with guitars.
