I don't usually play Gabba.  But when I do, I play Gabba for Brobee.

I'm not a fan of the direction Happy Hardcore took in the mid 90s much like
I don't like the direction Jungle went in.  I don't think the "candyland sailor moon
amime lets rehash bad 80s synth pop tunes and strip away all the sub bass and
breakbeats" was a good move.  Same as "lets strip away all breakbeats and pianos, and
add gangsta rap samples" was good for jungle.  There was however, some good works that
came out of happyhardcore in this period however it wasn't happyhardcore at all, it was
Gabba!  Dutch Gabba!  Many of these records I had sitting in my collection for a while
but a few I just bought as I figured I could find the unknowns on Discogs.

This set is kind of a tribute to the DJ Eric L. tape I was sent in the mail by
Eric L. in 1995.  I knew him at the time from either alt.rave newsgroup on
the internet or from NE-Raves, an internet mailing list.  I was blown away by
the track Lockjaw "Reactor".  I only found out what it was recently and
purchased it.  It is clearly the best happyhardcore record of 1995 hands down.

# (thats a pound sign for you youngsters) = Was on the Eric L. mixtape.
