So, back on a house tip with this mix, but not just any house, but arguably some of the finest classics from the Chicago era and more recent soulful examples of house. As I've said music can take you back to a place and time and some of the early Chicago tracks take me back to when I was 1st getting in to music and it wasn't just something in the background. Kinging of proceedings with Jamie Principle - Your Love, a track I find doesn't get enough air play over Candi Staton's you've got the love, into Raze - Brake 4 love. You can't claim to be playing house classics without Frankie Knuckles being in there, so. what better track than Tears featuring Satoshi Tommie. As we move into more recent house music with tracks from a more recent time, but still keeping it soulful Michelle Weeks, Paul Soir Carissa Nicole before finishing of with possibly my favourite from the Chicago era, Joe Smooth's Promised Land. I've enjoyed putting this mix together and could have quite easily kept going, with so many remakes and reworking of funk, soul and disco into Nu Disco and Funky House, sometimes its nice to look back to where it all started for me.

Enjoy
