I first created Edge of Reason in 2003, which was the only year where Armin van Buuren did not create a mix album. At that time I tried to create a compilation in the spirit of AvB's mixing style. But without actual mixing software, the results, in retrospect, weren't so good. This 2018 compilation uses the same set of tracks from the 2003 but using methods that I've learned over my lifetime of creating DJ mixes. The track selection is design to evoke a sense of mystery as the listener enters an fantastic new world, discover its beauty, and ultimately find peace and belonging.
