Where it all began. Here is a mix of music from my roots. I grew up in NYC in the 80's and Freestyle Music is where I began to first craft myself as a DJ. A friend of mine told me about this site and originally, I was just looking around. Man, you sold me into making an account and letting you what I'm thinking! You took me right back to my freshman year in high school. Wow! I'm picturing me sitting in my room with my headphones on and waiting for Hot 103/Hot 97 to play a good song so I can record it! LOL...

I've always been a avid music lover but never quite embraced dancing until I heard some freestyle songs on the radio mixshow in the early '80s. Whether it was the female vocals or the electro beats, I don't really know... I just knew I loved this sound and it grew from there. Soon I was up in the clubs and at house parties dancing: breakin', pop lockin' and electric boogaloo... until they started shooting. LOL. Thank U 4 the great collection of tunes + a ton of memories!
