This set was assembled over 4 or 5 recording sessions, features a lot of my unusual and traditional mixing technique, Lot of different styles here. I've been trying to adapt traditional mixing (beat mixing/scratching) into what I do, yet keep it within my own style. And-at the same time expand on the styles of music I utilize.
Mixing is an evolving art form you can never stop expanding yourself, testing yourself, especially if your are like me and detest limitations!!
Some of this works, some not as well as Id like, but I like to put everything out there, so the people that listen to what I do can come along on the journey as I grow as an artist.
I've been a musician and a DJ now for almost 34 years and Im just getting started, and for me the most important thing is to NOT sound and do things like everybody else.
Most DJs my age are retro jocks, not me. Todays beats, sounds and vibes are seething with power, energy. I work hard at being the darkest and hardest out there, and answer to no one except my listeners, because I AM original...Otherwise whats the fucking point?
