Deep Afro and Soulful House Edition [Mar 2012]
Starting off with some Deep Soulful house tracks and then moving on to a Deep Afro session, this mix is sure to take you on a journey. 15 Deep Soulful Vocal Afro tracks mixed at 124bpm, mixing some golden oldies, favourites and unreleased tracks from around the Globe.
Again, like SSS Vol.14, the opening track is exclusive!! The sound, the lyrics and the voice totally totally do it for me from the very first note til the end. Essesntial i and Mindlo (S.African collective) strike again, but defo looking out for Sue the artist working with some of my favourite producers in S.African and hopefully London soon! Watch out – you’ve been warned.
Featured a very old favourite from Vikter Duplain f. Clara Hill, a beautiful Soulful track entitled “Paperchase” before playing another old a favourite deep house track from Franck Roger ‘Te Quiero’…. And ended with a favourite from South Africa that I have yet to feature on a SSS volume “Juju”, this song needs no introduction, but this remix defo hit the spot for me. Deep Afro House at its best.
