If I wait any longer to post this mix, I'll be dead.
Embarrassingly enough I've been working on it for more than 2 years now, spending countless (usually wee) hours fine-tuning it until I feel as though I'm about to go completely mad because it's never going to be exactly the way I want it. Reason being: when you produce a set like this using software like MixMeister, the slightest edit anywhere along the path can alter the entire piece. Subsequently, a little snip here or there can trigger a major reworking of the entire project... and it never, ever seems to end. That said, I finally realized today the mix is good enough for what it is and so I'm posting it for your collective listening pleasure (or criticism, as the case may be). I'm not even sure if this set is worthy of posting but I figure since it cost me a small chunk of my life I might as well post it since I've got nothing else to do with it, anyway. And I am hopeful at least a few fans will appreciate it for what it is.
Before you take a listen, keep in mind this mix is definitely not intended to fill a dance floor (virtual or otherwise), nor will it ever be deemed a great "disco mix" since it features music from across multiple genres and eras (check out the playlist and you'll see what I mean). Regardless, my concept in producing it was simple: I wanted to string together a slew of old, slower paced songs and sync them all over a looped rhythm track (in this case, Soul II Soul's "Keep On Moving") to create a down-tempo mix and prove a point: literally any song can be considered mixable if you keep an open mind and get creative. The end result is "Sunday Morning" which clocks in at 3+ hours and ranges from 88 to 106 BPM; a suitable cure for that Saturday night hangover.
For the record, I honestly have no ego about my work anymore so if you think this set sucks, is off target and/or a waste of space on House-Mixes.com, feel free to say so. Majority rules, so if most of you think it's goofy I'll blow it up. Oh, and a change of personal policy: I'm allowing downloads of this set. I figure no one will want to pirate it, so have at it if you're so inclined.
Hope you enjoy this rather eclectic mix...

Thank you. I am in my car all the day and the radio plays all kinds of nonsense. Thanks to you I now just listen to this.
Great display of creativity of mixing different genres of music at a slow dance tempo... great for just kicking back to wind down from a long week on a Sunday morning. Thanks for sharing and allowing us to download.
good one here, thumbs up, great mix.
Great mix. Thanks for sharing (finally!)
