In the first 18 volumes (save for Vol. 11), I pretty much just mixed at the end of each remix. Nothing was cut. I found this kind of mixing kind of boring after a while and stopped mixing like this. On a few of the early volumes, I have gone back and "remixed" them. Haven't done that to Vol. 3 yet, but it is a good mix. My only personal issue with these early mixes was too few songs in such a long mix. This one is 12 songs in nearly 70 minutes. One of the good things about how I mix now is I pick the best of the remixes and just cut out the extra stuff.
Here is the early explanation of this mix (made about a year or so ago) for those who like to read:
12 songs, 68:44 minutes. Before you say "Regret is a 90s song!" ... ok,
it is. But it works in this mix and they're an 80s artist. I don't know
who Richard X is, but that remixer made my life a living hell trying to
make that song work in this mix, judge how you will.
For those who see a mix of Kylie Minogue into Depeche Mode as blasphemy, I understand, but Vol. 3 is pop.
