Sand B, some of those tracks may have been produced and recorded in NY, but house was born in Chicago in the 80's, and every form of house, past and present, has its roots in Chicago, Chicago laid the groundwork for house music as we know it today, and although different regions like NY Detroit and Philly had their interpretations of house, it was all influenced by the Chicago sound.
